Why tomorrow’s architecture will use yesterday’s materials

A Brussels non-profit is fighting waste by helping designers reuse salvaged building components. Edwin Heathcote writing in the Financial Times looks at the Belgian non-profit creating a circular economy by salvaging components from building sites and selling them on to architects. Not only hoping to "imbue the architecture of the present with the presence of the past", they are stopping demolition waste from entering landfills and halting the mining and transporting of raw building materials.
